Welcome to Katie & Jarrod's Homepage!
2005 - A Great Year
Wow, this has been a great year! In March we got engaged and from there it was a
whirlwind of planning that culminated in a Sept 3rd wedding at Port Gamble and a
great Kauai honeymoon that included a crazy helicopter adventure! The other big
event this year was adopting a five year old black and white tuxedo cat named Luna.
We've just completed a kitchen remodel and are looking forward to a short break
from home improvement projects. Happy holidays and best wishes!
Our Story
We grew up in the same hometown of Poulsbo, Washington and we both attended the
University of Washington in Seattle but we weren't destined to meet until Apple Cup 2003.
We are very grateful to Kirk, Carol, Nate, and Kelley for thinking that we'd make a great
couple and finally introducing us to each other in the Fall of 2003 at the UW versus WSU
"Apple Cup" football game. We hit it off and the rest, as they say, is history.
Our Engagement Story
After a wonderful March weekend in Napa Valley we are officially engaged! We spent
Saturday touring wineries and that evening as we strolled along the riverbank Jarrod
got down on one knee and asked Katie to spend forever with him. Of course she said "YES!"
and then he gave gave her a gorgeous ring to seal the deal.
The big surprise was that Jarrod (also known as "Mr. Sneaky" now!)
has been hiding the ring amongst his 20+ backpacks down in the basement
since December waiting for the perfect moment.

More About Katie
Katie currently works at Amazon.com in dowtown Seattle. She is a program manager and
works on launching projects that allows for more things to be sold online.
